Being a community of Christ. Reaching our community for Christ.

For over forty years Community Bible Church has ministered in the Baton Rouge area through Christ-centered worship, faithful Bible teaching, local community outreach, and a missional focus on the world.

We are seeking to be a "5:16 Church"...
A community that prays fervently (James 5:16), rejoices always (1 Thessalonians 5:16), walks in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), shines the light of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:16), and redeems the time (Ephesians 5:16).

Built on a "3:16 Foundation"...
A community that knows God's love in Jesus Christ (John 3:16), shows God's love to one another (1 John 3:16), and grows in God's love through knowledge and obedience to His Word (2 Timothy 3:16).

If you are looking for a Bible-teaching church with a heart for worshiping God in spirit and in truth, then we invite you to join us. Our Sunday morning worship service is at 10:30am. Adult Sunday School classes and the Journey for kids is at 9:00am.

This Sunday at CBC

This Sunday, March 8th (10:30am), Pastor Steve will continue the sermon series through the book of Philippians, Living a Joy-Filled Life in a Stress-Filled World. This week we will be examining Philippians 4:10-23, "The Joy of Giving." Studies have shown that as we grow richer we actually have a tendency to grow stingier and more lonely, impacting our joy. It is in wise generosity, partnering with others in the work of ministry and mission, that we not only refresh others but also are refreshed ourselves (Proverbs 11:25).

Adult Bible Fellowship

There are five adult Bible fellowship classes being offered this spring: The Book of Romans (Mixed Adults), God: Approachable and Holy (Young Adults), Proverbs: The Art of Living Well (Ladies), 2 Kings (Men), 2 Samuel (Ladies). We encourage you to be a part of one of these classes at 9am on Sunday mornings.

Weekly Bible Verse

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
