Being a community of Christ. Reaching our community for Christ.

For over fifty years Community Bible Church has ministered in the Baton Rouge area through Christ-centered worship, faithful Bible teaching, local community outreach, and a missional focus on the world.

We are seeking to be a "5:16 Church"...
A community that prays fervently (James 5:16), rejoices always (1 Thessalonians 5:16), walks in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), shines the light of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:16), and redeems the time (Ephesians 5:16).

Built on a "3:16 Foundation"...
A community that knows God's love in Jesus Christ (John 3:16), shows God's love to one another (1 John 3:16), and grows in God's love through knowledge and obedience to His Word (2 Timothy 3:16).

If you are looking for a Bible-teaching church with a heart for worshiping God in spirit and in truth, then we invite you to join us. We have two morning worship services at 9:00am and 10:45am. Adult Sunday School classes and the Journey for kids are at 9:00am.

Announcements

This Sunday at CBC

This Sunday (9am, 10:45am), we pause our series through the book of Hebrews to remind ourselves what it means to be A 5:16 Church Built on a 3:16 Foundation. Every year we re-visit our mission statement as a church in order to direct our attention back on the 5:16s of praying fervently (James 5:16), rejoicing always (1 Thess. 5:16), walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), shining out the light of Christ (Matt. 5:16), and redeeming the time (Ephesians 5:16).

Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes for children, youth, and adults at 9am. Classes for adults include the following:
Young Married: Building a One Another Mindset
Women: Praying with Paul
Men: Ecclesiastes

At 10:45am, we offer a mixed adult class, That the World May Know.

Live Streaming

The Sunday morning worship service (10:45am) is now being streamed live online at cbcla.sermon.net.
